On August 2, 2006, Massachusetts General Law Chapter 43D was signed into law. This program offers communities a tool for targeted economic development.
In November 2007, the Town of Hudson adopted MGL Chapter 43D, also known as “expedited permitting”. The Town designated several sites as Priority Development Sites (PDS) including:
- 185-205 Washington Street
- 173 Washington Street
- 75 Reed Road
- 2 Parcels on Cabot Road
MGL Chapter 43D requires local permitting decisions on PDS within 180 days of filing a completed application. The permitting decisions on PDS may include decisions and/or permits from the following departments:
- Planning Board
- Zoning Board of Appeals
- Board of Health
- Conservation Commission
- Historic District Commission
- DPW
- Fire Department
