Friendly Chat is a new program the Hudson Senior Center is offering. Much like a “Pen Pal” the Friendly Chat volunteer will call every week to check in to see how you are and have a friendly conversation.
We are lucky to have Alexandria Boule as an intern monitoring this project. She will graduate from Regis College with an LSW in Social Work next year.
Alex will be making the friendly calls to hear about your day, learn about your interests and activities, talk about your family but also listen to your worries or concerns.
We all need a Friendly Chat from time to time with someone who really cares. This can provide support, comfort and hope during those times of worry or concern. It is also important to share a good laugh with someone.
If you are interested in hearing more about this program or know someone who would benefit from this program you may call Alex on Tuesdays and Fridays at our center 978-568-9638.
