From the “Friends” of Hudson Seniors

Greetings To all “The Friends",
Just a short message to remind all of you that February 5th is not only the Presidential Primary Election but also a special Town Election with one ballot question regarding the Hudson Senior Center renovation project.  This election is the last hurdle in a very lengthy public process that started in June 2006.  We are working on a formidable campaign starting in January and would like your help in the following areas;
·       Enthusiastic Sign Holders starting Saturday January 19th
·        We need help making calls, talking with friends and family about the need to make our building safe and compliant for all seniors.  More and more seniors are coming to our center; we need this ballot question to pass!
The seniors who are asking for support to renovate the senior center are the same seniors who voted to support the first JFK School, the Forest Ave School, the first Hudson High School, the second Hudson High School, and many others.
Please remember “United we stand, Divided we FAIL” and there is “POWER IN NUMBERS”.  Let’s work together and have our voices heard!!!
For those of you, who cannot get out to vote, don't forget to apply for your absentee ballot. The Ladies at the Town Clerks office, (978-568-9615), are willing to help anyone who calls. The ballots will be in right after the first of the year so there is plenty of time to get the ballot, make your vote, and then mail your ballot to the Town Clerk's office. Your absentee ballot application is on the back side of this page.
AND….. ONE MORE THING

We are asking a favor of all the seniors and hope that you will take it in the spirit it is              given.  When you pay any money to the Center can you make a notation on your check as to what you are paying for such as dues, fitness class, painting, trips, etc.  This will help our Treasury, Mary Hellen with her book keeping.

Thank you for your continued help and support,

“The Friends Officers”

Rita Chase, President, Genevieve Freve, Vice President, Mary Hellen, Treasurer, Kay Donely, Secretary, and Dot Parker, Public Relations
