March 18th 10:30 Parmenter Visiting Nurse Services/ Wayside Hospice WHAT IS HOSPICE? HOW DOES IT WORK? at the Hudson Senior Center Presenters: Andrea Heinlein, M.S.W., Hospice Administrator Janice Boreiko, R.N.,Hospice Nurse Hospice is a way of assuring a quality of life and tender loving care in someone’s final days.~ What is palliative care? What is hospice? When do you choose hospice? Who pays for hospice? Is hospice giving up? Andrea and Janice will explain these two care programs.~ They will also discuss the
research showing that many patients live longer on hospice. Parmenter VNA will also bring refreshments to this event. Please call the Center to sign up for this informative topic.

March 26th 2:30PM Using the Hudson Library from Your Home Computer Cora Arsenault, Reference Librarian at the Hudson Library, will be giving a presentation on how to use many of the Library’s facilities from your home computer. Cora will discuss using the Library’s catalog, making reservations for Library books and other resources, using the Library’s reference data base, using digital and audio books, accessing your personal library account, etc. The presentation is being given to the Senior Center Computer Class on Wednesday, March 26th 2:30PM at the Hudson High School. There are extra seats available in the class so you are welcomed to sit in on this presentation. The Library has many great
resources you can use right from your computer at home. Am sure you will enjoy learning of these resources and how to use them with so very little effort. Call 978-568-9638 to reserve your seat. This is free.
March 27th 6-10pm Hudson Council on Aging Presents the Second Annual Hollywood Red Carpet “Dinner Dance” (just like the Oscars) at the Portuguese Club Line dancing, Couples dancing, Fun dancing Dinner: Tossed salad, stuffed chicken w/gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, butternut squash & dessert Award winning tunes with Al Barese: Movie and Show tunes, trivia questions with awards…You may even call the Hudson Senior Center to request special music. Don’t miss this: Tickets $18.00 per person and will be available by March 4th.
March 29th 10-1pm Saturday Our Second Annual Community Health Fair is coming, at Hudson High School 10am – 1pm. We are again partnering with the Hudson Natural Health Center. This is a Fair for the entire family and it is FREE! Some of our participants include: Lou Tagliani with Tai Chi, Dr. Anthony Tickner - Podiatrist, Martial Arts by David Ghize, American Diabetes Association, Alzheimers Association, the American Cancer Society, Earthsong Yoga, Bouvier Pharmacy featuring medical equipment, chair, lifts etc, Hudson Family Chiropractic, Sue Nathan – Massage and CranioSacral &Lymph Drainage, Annette Cormier - Massage and Reflexology, Lisa Hansen- Colonics and ion detox foot baths, Face Painting by Marlborough Girl Scout Troop and more.

The Arts Alliance and the River’s Edge Players……..
Lynne Johnson of Hudson is now directing the River’s Edge Players and she is looking for help with sets, lighting, sound, costumes, props and more. This group is a great way to learn new skills, interact with area adults, perform on stage, exercise, use stage voices and entertain the community. (Sounds like fun to me!)
