What is new with the FRIENDS of Hudson Seniors?

We have started taking raffles for our “LOTTO HOUSE”.  In case you have not seen it yet, Martha Barry made a colonial style house out of styrofoam and her son covered the outside with $100.00 worth of $1 and $2 lottery tickets.  Raffle tickets are $5.00 a piece and whoever wins the raffle ,which will be drawn in June 08, wins the whole house.  This house has the potential to be worth a lot of money.   Good Luck.

In May the Friends are going to start  having  a “MEAT RAFFLE” every month! Tickets will be $1.00 ea .  This is open to the community.  Dotty Parker and Janet Chase, FRIENDS members, will be purchasing about $200.00 worth of  quality beef, chicken and pork .  On Saturday May 24th, 10am  at the senior center, tickets will be drawn until all the meat is gone.  Tickets will be available at the Senior Center, the more tickets you buy, the more chances you have of winning.  With the price of food going up and up, this is a fun way to hopefully save a little and get some good cuts of quality meat.
In June, our incredibly talented “Silver threads”, quilting class, will have a “QUILTING GALLERY “ at our senior center to display some of their hand made quilts which will be for sale.  This event will kick off the “Silver Threads Quilt Gallery” which will be open to the public every Saturday morning at the Senior Center, for anyone interested in purchasing a handmade quilt or just to look and admire their great works of art!
We are working very hard and appreciate your support.

Very Sincerely Yours,

The Friends of Hudson Seniors
