FROM BAYPATH ELDER SERVICES
In the fall of 2008, the Area Agency on Aging at BayPath Elder Services will be conducting a Needs Assessment and surveying elders in your community.  We are asking individuals age 60 + to complete a survey in order to discover what you believe to be the top 10 needs of elders in your area.  Based on the survey and assessment results, grants will be allocated to programs meeting the identified needs of the elders in your area.  During the month of October, surveys will be available at the Council on Aging in your town.  Please take some time to fill out a survey and make your needs known!
The Area Agency on Aging provides federal grants, under the Older Americans Act , to agencies throughout the Metrowest area  to support community programs for elders.  These include meal programs, legal services, mental health services, transportation, health awareness, exercise programs and other programs to serve elders’ needs.
If you have questions, input, or to obtain a survey, please call Janet Cunningham, Area Agency on Aging Assistant director, at BayPath Elder Services at (508) 573-7200
