From Walgreens Pharmacy: Dealing with Colds.
Here’s an amazing fact. Every year Americans come down with more than one billion colds! So what’s the best remedy to help you feel better when you get one? Fortunately, there are effective ways to treat it and help you feel better while it runs its course. We’ve all heard the one about chicken soup. And all moms tell their kids to get plenty of rest and drink a lot of fluids. What else helps during a cold? To reduce fever and any pain, there are several medications to choose from. Acetaminophen and ibuprofen are good choices. Never give children aspirin. Many brands are formulated to address your specific symptoms so choose one based on how you feel. And don’t forget to take it easy, stock up on tissues, and read lots of
magazines.
