Our Mission: We work to make our community healthier!
The mission of the Hudson BOH is to promote the health of the people through the prevention and control of disease and injury. We work to insure the quality of our food, check the safety of homes and protect the environment from damage and pollution.
The department is overseen by a three-member board, with its members elected by the town residents. They are elected for three-year terms.
The Board of Health normally meets the second and last Tuesday of every month at the Town Hall’s 3rd Floor conference room. Agenda’s for each meeting are posted at the BOH office. Minutes from each meeting are normally available about 2 weeks after the meeting.
Along with its regular monthly meetings, special meetings may be called. The Board must provide at least 48 hours notice. The Board may also meet in executive session (closed to public). Two members of the Board constitute a quorum for the transaction of business at any meeting.
The VNA Care Networks, Inc., the nursing agency for the BOH conducts weekly blood pressure clinics and yearly flu clinics for town residents over the age of 65.
The Town of Hudson has no curbside pickup. The BOH maintains the Transfer Station on Cox Street and it is contracted out to B-P Trucking of Ashland.
