South Street Riverwalk
Our vision is to make the South Street Riverwalk a welcoming dstination in our Downtown. It will be accessible to all, with open views of the Assabet River, a welcome arch and an overlook platform. There will be lighting, signage about both history and ecology, benches and picnic areas. Currently Phase 1 is funded by a grant from MassDOT. Phase 1 will add walkways through Cellucci Park to make the Riverwalk ADA compliant, lighting along all walkways to make the walk safer, and some amenities and signs.
