Conservation Commission
(a) Term of Office. There shall be a Conservation Commission composed of seven (7) regular members and associate advisory members not to exceed ten (10) appointed by the Select Board, each for a term of three (3) years so that the term of office of at least two (2) members expires each year.
(b) Powers and Duties. The Conservation Commission shall exercise its powers pursuant to Chapter 40, Section 8c, G.L. The Commission shall prepare the Conservation and Out Door Recreation Plan after consultation with the Recreation Director, the Planning Board and other Boards as it may deem appropriate. The Plan shall be submitted to the Planning Board for appropriate action within the Town and by the Commonwealth. The Conservation Commission may contract for materials and services, appoint employees and refer them to the Select Board for confirmation and receive gifts in the name of the Town.
Please note, all wetland permit applications must now be submitted through our online portal.
The Conservation Commission is now using the Board Docs organization system (like the Hudson Select Board) for all meetings. Site plans and other information are available on Board Docs. Select "Conservation Commission" in the upper right hand corner drop down menu to access past and present meetings. You can use the search function to look for specific projects or public hearings.
