Housing Authority
(a) Term of Office. There shall be a Housing Authority which shall consist of four (4) member selected at the Town Election and one (1) appointed by the Massachusetts Department of Community Affairs. The members shall serve staggered terms of five (5) years. (G.L. Chapter 121B, Sections 3 and 5).

Section 3:
Changes the word four elected to three elected.
Section 5A: The Dept. shall establish election procedures for tenants to elect a tenant as a member of housing authority in the town and regulations establishing appointments by the board of selectmen of the town, if no election may be held.
Housing Authority Appointments (Section 216)
Changes state law to allow a municipality to make the appointment to a Housing Authority if the State does not fill the vacancy within 120 days.
